The Poetry Marathon

Good morning moon, good morning sun today is a great day to run out and play. To play for the day and don’t worry about our last days and play on within the glow of the sun. To play in the moon’s light to play with the end of days. Thus, we sleep soundly for the next day to play. Or we should stay and see the birth of the new day and see the sunrise over the hills on the highway. Tomorrow will bring more horseplay but today we shall sit and stay and wait for the new day.

Mohism: Love is unconditional and Love is universal. Love is great and it spreads like cake mix. Don’t stop the love at the threshold of family, spread it to your friends and to your neighbors and don’t stop until you spread it to everything. Like a long string moving in the wind it stenches from you and me. Love is generational and it goes from offspring to offspring and doesn’t stop there for anything. Love is a living thing that is shared and I hope that everyone can show it off like a wedding ring and find pride in it.

Tribalism: It is us vs them, an endless war.Whites vs blacks, blacks vs whites. It is like chess, but we can’t say checkmate. We should remove the notion of Us vs them and start seeing people as equal as men. Remove the labels, remove hate but keep the honor with the past and unite through educating and corroborate towards greatness. Through this greatness we can create a more safe and turn up the brightness to be viewed as a united nation.

Roses are red, violets are blue the world is on fire and so is my heart for you. I know that sounded cheesy and I know that wasn’t planned but I can show you my puppies if you step into my white van.

Omnism: Everything has truth. From Judaism to Hinduism,Taoism to Confucianism, all have truth that lays beneath. Like a sword to its sheath, I hold the truth to keep me warm. Like a furnace, it would keep heat through the eyes of the person that is holding true.Truth is there and you don’t need to sit in the booth and tell your truths to a person. All religions have the single truth and it should be explored and I hope that people seek it out more. Like Uncle Iroh said  It is important to draw wisdom from many different places. If you take it from only one place, it become rigid and stale.Truth and knowledge is the key to youth and getting it from different sources will move some nations to positive notions.

They say to greet Death as an old friend, but when we should greet everyone as equals before Death’s kiss. It took a war and it took a movement but still we don’t see people as equals.When they ask for more, they were moved and now it is needed for change to keep the balance restored.Balance and change is nature made and it has to be restored. But, at what cost? Balance and change is like a double sided sword and it can cut twice. It doesn’t take a nation to go from segregation to a warlord to restore the balance that needs to be explored and be recorded. To move a nation, we should look at everyone as equals and not focus on the sequels of our history as people.

Universality and emotionalize, we are all one entity. Immortalize through written word or songs that we play on over and over again just to hear it more. It is said that greet Death as an old friend but when are we going to see another person as another friend and not just a man and look within to see that we can learn from each other and we can all yearn to be wise men (humankind)

Ma’at: Goddess of Truth and Balance. Through, her and many I promote nonviolence and quietness. And I pray that people would find the righteousness through spirituality. And I pray that we view people with hospitality and generality and move nations to neutral and less brutality.

Discordia: She gave a golden apple to the Three and she loves to spread strife and discord for you and me. Spreading chaos from Thailand to Iceland, and handing out golden apples for the ego in all of us for you and me.

A lonely shepherd I maybe, looking after the skies and seas. Seeking the girl that is right for me. After seeking and searching, maybe the right person for me is in front of me.
