Grace

Grace slipped in beside me  tonite.
She’s not on a schedule but I always like it when she comes
Reminding me of the beauty in the day
And most often showing me another way

Yte Man

If you take my experience and make it yours
That’s stealing.
Haven’t you taken enough already?

8:01

Dinner is served
Did you come for all three courses?
 Or just desert?

7 something

The long ride  takes its toll
Three rows back
There is a man who should have stayed home
His tissues tell me so
And the snot coming out of his nose
I remember why I don’t take the bus anymore

Lark

How do you get to the center of the moment?
Is it on the in-breath?
Or on a lark?
I’ve never ridden a bird before
but I do like to fly

5:00 Bus

It’s been a long time
since i rode a bus
It smells the same
as it did as a kid but costs a lot more

The doctor is in

I’ve given it a lot of thought.
I’d like to give advice
At a lemonade stand
like Lucy Van Pelt
But it would have to cost more than a nickel.

1:20

There is no time for the present when yesterday  calls
plenty of time for tomorrow
if right now is all
You give to the ticking of time on the wall
stay here.
That clock means nothing next to now
