  1. it’s interesting the different meanings that can be mapped onto this poem because of it’s opaqueness based on if one knows the prompt that catalyzed it or not; it’s both specific and leaves enough space for a reader to transfer their own meanings/experience onto it.

  2. Love the simplicity of this poem; plus its echoes to the turtles to come later on, moving slowly. I actually the turtles first, otherwise might not have made that connection. Although I have just written a poem about needing to slow down and turning to Turtle for guidance… You just never know where a reader’s head will be!! Thank you, Kris, for this.
