Hi poets! This is my second Poetry Marathon; last year was my first. I am a writer and editor, and I own my own small business doing both. I am so thankful to be able to work at something I love, on my own schedule. But the genre love of my life is poetry. My poetry style tends to be unfettered and epic in the sense of capturing a scene, an interaction, or a mini story. I focus a lot on images within my poems. Much of my poetry involves nature because I feel Mother Earth has much wisdom to share with us if we are open to hear her with all of our senses.
I’m looking forward to getting to know many of you and reading and commenting on your poems. That’s one of the wonderful thing about this group of poets — we are all so different, but everyone is welcoming and encouraging.
