Sonnet: Don’t Stop Me Now

Sonnet: Don’t Stop Me Now
By DS Coremans

“Don’t stop me now. I’m having a good time.”
For me the perfect line on which to end.
Just one more post and I will press send
No sleep for this tired poet, what a crime;

That is the poet’s pay, pennies and dimes.
Through this I’ve found new literary friends
In this case means have justified the end;
Euphoric adrenaline, feel sublime.

I almost want to just keep on going,
But twenty-four hours of white screen glare
Has left me with a few signs now showing,
The coffee tremble and a glaicit’ stare.

I’m not sure when I’ll stop speaking in rhyme,
Don’t stop me now! I’m having a good time.
