  1. OK. . . I saw “Lake Ohrid” so googled some images. The bright pictures set the tone for the whole poem as I began reading again.

    Chilly streets, steam, and teal depths make me picture crisp water, and the image seems to be vast. Then the silvery rocks make the water seem not so expansive but more intimate, well maybe I should say the focus moved from wide expanse to a smaller frame. It all seems so fresh to me even though I’ve never been to Macedonia. The simplicity of the apple and coffee make for a nice closing, too. You’re taking on the day as part of the natural beauty. As a reader, I’d love to be part of that, too.
