This week it’s London.
Something about those old-fashioned buildings,
soothes and calms me down, and I need some relaxation.
I don’t relax much in all those beachy areas
that others find so popular.
No, let me get lost in the city any day.
But it’s the style of the city that really matters.
And this week, it’s old style.
I had New York for a while, but
there’s only so much of it one can take.
I mean, isn’t that the whole point
of this city-a-week upgrade
I bought for my personal VR environment.
I was never the sit-still kind of a guy.
Change is good for the soul.
Wait, why am I telling you this?

  1. The ending is really amazing and so unique. I also fancy the opening as I can see myself . Me too, I loathe bustling venues and I hate the hustle. The poem was concise and flowing really naturally and that accounts for its charm !!
Thank you and please keep up the good work :))

    1. Thank you 🙂 I didn’t plan this poem, I just started writing and let it flow naturally. I think I accidentally might have gotten myself a short story idea, as I totally see where this could go much much farther, but that particular moment seemed like a good place to stop, so I did 🙂
