22 Rum Bar Shenanigans

It’s quarter to nine
Jamaica curfew time
Music 🎢 a beat
People jammin in the street
Rum Bar shenanigans in style

Police sirens 🚨 sound the alarm
Bottles feet πŸ‘£ hands πŸ™ŒπŸ½ and knees buckle to Make an escape its curfew time

We love fun in the street
As we rock and drink to the reggae beat
Rum Bar shenanigans in full swing
Quarter to nine Jamaica πŸ‡―πŸ‡² curfew time.

  1. I love the sounds, feel and well everything about this poem, “Rum Bar Shenanigans”. Roxann, you had me from the title! This flows so well! And the repetition makes the point…Quarter to nine, Jamaican Curfew Time….This is my choice… Fun and serious rolled into one!

  2. I love this! Energetic and electric and such a good use of emojie’s (I never know how to spell that word). I do think the copyright date is accidentally mis-numbered, but that just made me laugh. During the late marathon numbers are never my friend.
