I tried to paint a portrait<\/p>\n
for you see<\/p>\n
mirrors didn’t exist when I was alive<\/p>\n
and now alas!<\/p>\n
My reflection I can’t see.<\/p>\n
So I ask my fellow ghouls<\/p>\n
and witches that pass by sometimes<\/p>\n
to tell me what they perceive<\/p>\n
to help me conjure me.<\/p>\n
One said my left fang is crooked<\/p>\n
while another complimented my blood-red lips<\/p>\n
a troll noticed a tiny mole<\/p>\n
camouflaged under my dainty chin.<\/p>\n
My eyes, said a poltergeist<\/p>\n
were ‘darker than the depths of hell’<\/p>\n
but he was drunk (they always are)<\/p>\n
was being fresh, I could tell.<\/p>\n
My nose is sharp ‘like a Madonna’<\/p>\n
said a new recruit, (whatever does that mean?)<\/p>\n
while a\u00a0travelling siren told me<\/p>\n
my eyelashes were ‘to die for’.<\/p>\n
A Chupacabra said my skin was so pale<\/p>\n
he wouldn’t feast on my blood\u00a0on a bad day<\/p>\n
and my neighbor, Wendigo simply<\/p>\n
winked, ‘You’re perfect in every way.’<\/p>\n
I collected these bits of information and<\/p>\n
put together a picture<\/p>\n
of a diligent, scary<\/p>\n
yet mesmerizing beauty<\/p>\n
to whom humans easily surrender.<\/p>\n
I like to read and take<\/p>\n
long glides across oceans<\/p>\n
And I would never ever say no to<\/p>\n
the Lily Death potion.<\/p>\n
I have met many entities<\/p>\n
that seem to tire of Earth<\/p>\n
but I love my death here,<\/p>\n
of entertainment there is no dearth.<\/p>\n
If I have wetted your curiosity<\/p>\n
and managed to spike your intrigue<\/p>\n
Simply turn off your lights to know more<\/p>\n
And call out softly to me.<\/p>\n
