There lit a scarecrow on the roof<\/p>\n
where underneath I lived my youth<\/p>\n
what did I know of naked truth<\/p>\n
is it my inner child inside I\u2019m fighting?<\/p>\n

Now, I\u2019m not comfy in my skin<\/p>\n
nor even like the state I\u2019m in<\/p>\n
just wondering where to begin<\/p>\n
instead of lies, pretense and innuendo?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Just wish the worry go away<\/p>\n
stop hiding in this old charade<\/p>\n
food always wins this game I play<\/p>\n
instead of praying, eating right and living.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Each and every night I fail to prove<\/p>\n
food I will refuse you<\/p>\n
bound up in lies, my food voodoo<\/p>\n
my mind will manipulate.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Cuisine\u2019s my sensuality<\/p>\n
it keeps me from my liberty<\/p>\n
and almost feels like piracy<\/p>\n
when I sneak-slither to the kitchen sometimes.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But suddenly, I feel surprised<\/p>\n
that now my health is compromised<\/p>\n
my God, today I\u2019ve realized<\/p>\n
that food is what\u2019s manipulating me \u2026<\/p>\n

Now every night I aim to prove<\/p>\n
food I will refuse you<\/p>\n
breaking the chains of food voodoo<\/p>\n
so it can\u2019t manipulate.<\/p>\n

Food offers me no loving way<\/p>\n
\u2018twill never love me today<\/p>\n
won\u2019t let it try to have its way<\/p>\n
to refuse you,<\/p>\n
prayer and hope will help me always.<\/p>\n
