To write a self portrait I have to step back<\/p>\n
And take a long good look at myself.<\/p>\n
I turn to the mirror, eyes, ears, nose, check.<\/p>\n
Two hands, two legs, a torso, quite a normal<\/p>\n
(albeit short) human specimen. Unruly hair,<\/p>\n
Glasses that balance on the top of the head<\/p>\n
And often fall. Oh yes, the shorts, irreplaceable,<\/p>\n
Since the pandemic. That is me, as far as physical<\/p>\n
Appearances go. I like a good steak, I do not trust<\/p>\n
In Gods, I\u2019ve been called \u2018irreverent\u2019 and worse.<\/p>\n
I live with my mistakes, I do not let them define me,<\/p>\n
And I strive to be happy. I keep to myself<\/p>\n
Most of the time, I have a few close friends, well-defined.<\/p>\n
I enjoy my music, the company of those I love<\/p>\n
In fact I\u2019m quite an ordinary girl just doing my job<\/p>\n
Of being alive. Don\u2019t cross me though, I never<\/p>\n
Learned to forgive. I don\u2019t try too hard either.<\/p>\n
