{"id":101403,"date":"2021-06-27T05:12:02","date_gmt":"2021-06-27T09:12:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=101403"},"modified":"2021-06-27T05:13:47","modified_gmt":"2021-06-27T09:13:47","slug":"not-odd-hour-8-prompt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/not-odd-hour-8-prompt\/","title":{"rendered":"Not odd (hour 8 prompt)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I think Odysseus got it all wrong<br \/>\noff on his adventures<br \/>\nlittle planning, reservations<br \/>\nnot made in advance<br \/>\nobvious why his trip went badly<\/p>\n<p>Wrong spots, wrong time of year<br \/>\nwrong monsters<br \/>\na little planning goes a long way<br \/>\nso did Odysseus<br \/>\nbut it didn\u2019t have to be<\/p>\n<p>He could\u2019ve brought his son<br \/>\nmany spots offer<br \/>\nkids eat\/stay free and<br \/>\nthere were always things<br \/>\nthey could have team-built on<\/p>\n<p>They really needed some decent<br \/>\nfather\/son time, bonding<br \/>\nfishing, perhaps \u2013 or sports<br \/>\nthough explaining sirens to mom<br \/>\nwould have taken some finesse<\/p>\n<p>Location is everything in regards<br \/>\nto real estate, vacations<br \/>\nSparta is not Cabo at spring break<br \/>\nwhen you travel on the cheap<br \/>\nbeggars can\u2019t be choosers<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em> Mark L.
