\nHow can I fight it?

I don’t get it-
\nI was told so many
\ndifferent things<\/p>\n
Don’t think about it
\nignore it
\ngive it to God
\nand you’ll be fine<\/p>\n
It’s all in your head
\nyou’re crazy
\nattention Seeker
\nweirdo
\nHow can I compete with that?<\/p>\n
I want to reach out
\nbut I don’t
\nbeing called an attention seeker
\nis far worse<\/p>\n
And cause for silence<\/p>\n
I swore an oath
\nmade a promise
\nthat I was done
\nwhat else was there?<\/p>\n
When did my word become
\nfar greater than God’s power
\nand love?<\/p>\n
When did these
\nfeelings become
\nless important than
\nthe status quo?<\/p>\n
SSHH
\nConform
\nbe quiet
\ndon’t make trouble
\nsingle file like
\nobedient soldiers<\/p>\n
I can’t talk about this
\nat all –
\nto anyone-
\nThey’d be so disappointed
\nso angry<\/p>\n
So I sit here
\nAlone, afraid
\nin the dark
\nfearful of every sound<\/p>\n
Crawling out of my skin
\nwondering what’s going to happen
\nwho’s going to come for me
\nIt’s a horrible disaster<\/p>\n
No one cares
\nno one knows
\nI’ve gotten good at hiding
\nNot saying a word<\/p>\n
I’ve gotten so good at
\nthis facade–just so
\nno one sees how truly
\nraw and broken I am<\/p>\n
Why would anyone care?
\neverything’s going ok
\nin their world
\nthey don’t really care
