But he was unputdownable,<\/p>\n<p>Won me over bit by tiny bit. An untamed mare was I,<\/p>\n<p>Wild curls and glassy eyed. He poured enough love<\/p>\n<p>To snare a perfect fit. A man of high morals,<\/p>\n<p>He lived by his own code, never shied from the truth<\/p>\n<p>No matter what consequences would hold.<\/p>\n<p>Generous and kind, he gave of himself and showered gifts, nothing<\/p>\n<p>Was too dear for those he cared about, nothing to be feared.<\/p>\n<p>Much loved, much revered, when he died the world trembled<\/p>\n<p>The skies opened wide and poured its\u2019 contents into the night<\/p>\n<p>Life came to a standstill, our world held a collective breath;<\/p>\n<p>As for me, I was broken, another father lost to Death<\/p>\n<p>Snuffing out another light long before its time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(P.S. I have never even attempted an ode before.
