He emptied the worms,<\/p>\n<p>shook them from the container until they fell,<\/p>\n<p>growing wings in ways they weren\u2019t meant. They crawled<\/p>\n<p>across the surface and then burrowed,<\/p>\n<p>neatly tucking heads into the dark. I watched<\/p>\n<p>through the side as they moved, slithered, snakes<\/p>\n<p>into the unknown.
