Never mine<\/div>\n
but always the place<\/div>\n
somewhere up north<\/div>\n
a home, for my laughing face<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The badminton net<\/div>\n
and horseshoe pit<\/div>\n
clearing the brush<\/div>\n
and the Muskoka-chair to sit<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The black flies and mosquitoes<\/div>\n
never to leave<\/div>\n
but we were never distraught<\/div>\n
our tales to weave<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The creaking dock<\/div>\n
the weeds and snakes<\/div>\n
remembering the eeks<\/div>\n
and broken rakes<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
frying eggs<\/div>\n
and munching hot dogs<\/div>\n
taking snort naps<\/div>\n
and chopping logs<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Those starry nights<\/div>\n
answered my dreams<\/div>\n
the call of the loons<\/div>\n
and rain in reams<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Canoes and runabouts<\/div>\n
the dingy that leaks<\/div>\n
and replacing the window<\/div>\n
for the raccoon peeks<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n

past joys and sweat<\/div>\n
