Why Mozzarella<\/b><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

It started with cheese sticks on a Saturday morning<\/span><\/p>\n

reached on tip-toe from the right-side drawer of the refrigerator.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Peeled plastic independence on the way to see\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ariel fall in love just one more time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then onto slices with tomatoes<\/span><\/p>\n

roasted with olive oil dripping over capers<\/span><\/p>\n

for lunches with my mother.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Let us indulge, she says, every time she takes a bite.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And cheese sticks, again, on a Saturday morning,<\/span><\/p>\n

or rather a Friday night that didn\u2019t end. Biting through<\/span><\/p>\n

and not pulling. Too tipsy to wish for webbing<\/span><\/p>\n

wrapping around my tongue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Next onto pizza made with homemade <\/span>everything<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

a promise he made to feed and cherish the work<\/span><\/p>\n

we have done. Our attempt to do better, to fulfil<\/span><\/p>\n

the tasks we laid before us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

No, back to cheese sticks. Pulling at the strings to find what even might be joy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
