\n<\/em>But here it\u2019s I who, stripped of lore,
\nWanders guideless o\u2019er mossy floors.
\nLike a story where the hero
\nStumbles heedless into peril
\nOr ignorant of blessings given
\nTo some strife is needless driven\u2026<\/p>\n
\nChasing tails around the globe
\nAnd I should remember fables
\nLearnt around a childhood table
\nElse I come to some fae harm,
\nOr led away by twilight charm
\nAre lost amid the spirits here.
\nThe dancing fire, the shadow boughs
\nMight close around me and the lights
\nWould ever bewitch my sleepless nights.<\/p>\n
\nGood fortune or a consecration,
\nBlessing all the leaves they touch
\nAs well as I who gaze upon such
\nbeauty. Maybe they will grant me
\nHappiness to bear away
\nAnd sprinkle brightly on my life,
\nSo it might resemble woodland
\nIn the dance of fireflies.
\nPerhaps to stray here would be wise.<\/p>\n
\nNothing more remarkable,
\nApart from how they dress the night
\nAnd tumble through the forest\u2019s heights
\nAnd form a second canopy
\nOf drifting, dancing artistry.
\nAnd if, perhaps, that\u2019s all they are
\nI\u2019ll take this moment happily;
\nLinger with them in the green
\nAnd play my quiet part in this lovely scene.<\/p>\n
