I thought I was a nomad\u00a0drifting along<\/p>\n

with\u00a0the sands of time<\/p>\n

pitching makeshift tents<\/p>\n

where I rested awhile.<\/p>\n

I had one in my mother’s arms<\/p>\n

and my brother’s side<\/p>\n

one lost forever<\/p>\n

another across oceans wide.<\/p>\n

One lies in my partner’s smile<\/p>\n

and my daughter’s embrace<\/p>\n

late night conversations<\/p>\n

with friends, endless cups of chai.<\/em><\/p>\n

But one day I realized<\/p>\n

my tents had taken roots<\/p>\n

and created an Eden<\/p>\n

filled with fragrant hues.<\/p>\n

I thought I was a nomad<\/p>\n

but I was a honeybee<\/p>\n

for I now have gardens<\/p>\n

that always welcome me.<\/p>\n
