to talk about…<\/p>\n
it certainly loves to talk,<\/p>\n
at least to me<\/p>\n
not so much to others…<\/p>\n
my brain’s tongue falls over<\/p>\n
its eye teeth and it can’t see<\/p>\n
what it wants to say,<\/p>\n
as my grandfather<\/p>\n
would say.<\/p>\n
I can’t smell cherry tobacco<\/p>\n
and not think of him.<\/p>\n
He had the biggest smile.<\/p>\n
Almost as big as his belly.<\/p>\n
I wrote a biography<\/p>\n
about him when I was 8, in the 3rd grade.<\/p>\n
It made my dad angry.<\/p>\n
He said I made things up<\/p>\n
and, yet, he was the one that<\/p>\n
told me what to write.<\/p>\n
I love to write.<\/p>\n
I want to write about my dad, but<\/p>\n
he wouldn’t like that.<\/p>\n
