{"id":102966,"date":"2021-06-27T08:29:57","date_gmt":"2021-06-27T12:29:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=102966"},"modified":"2021-06-27T08:29:57","modified_gmt":"2021-06-27T12:29:57","slug":"hour-24_at-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/hour-24_at-home\/","title":{"rendered":"Hour 24_at home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Why do you ask this?<br \/>\nPrompting me to end<br \/>\non a sad note.<br \/>\nSince the accident,<br \/>\nsince leaving Viet Nam,<br \/>\nthe difficult sojourn with my sister,<br \/>\nthe surgeon-inflicted injury \u2013<br \/>\nthere is no place<br \/>\nno at home<br \/>\nto be in.<\/p>\n<p>This body<br \/>\ntrusty capable helper<br \/>\na battlefield of repeated assault.<br \/>\nHeart and mind<br \/>\nbruised<br \/>\nlost.<br \/>\nSo much to re-learn;<br \/>\nhow and who to be<br \/>\nin a re-imagining world.<\/p>\n<p>But there is this:<br \/>\nthe gentle rise and fall<br \/>\nof breath<br \/>\nnourishing, sustaining<br \/>\nbefriending<br \/>\nIn stillness or flurry,<br \/>\nconstant<br \/>\nConnecting me<br \/>\nwith all of creation<\/p>\n<p>This,<br \/>\nthis is where I am most<br \/>\nat home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why do you ask this?
