{"id":10341,"date":"2015-06-13T18:08:45","date_gmt":"2015-06-13T22:08:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=10341"},"modified":"2015-06-13T18:30:56","modified_gmt":"2015-06-13T22:30:56","slug":"autobiography-of-a-face-hour-10-602pm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2015\/06\/autobiography-of-a-face-hour-10-602pm\/","title":{"rendered":"Autobiography of a Face          (hour 10, 6:02pm)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>He smiles, and utters<\/p>\n<p>a strange muted sound.<\/p>\n<p>His face does not reflect<\/p>\n<p>his irritation.<\/p>\n<p>He is bored,<\/p>\n<p>uninterested,<\/p>\n<p>wishing he were<\/p>\n<p>somewhere else.<\/p>\n<p>He squints his eyes,<\/p>\n<p>and turns his mouth,<\/p>\n<p>as in a smile.<\/p>\n<p>Again, the sound.<\/p>\n<p>Should I save him?<\/p>\n<p>If I do not,<\/p>\n<p>his anger will spill,<\/p>\n<p>like his words,<\/p>\n<p>over me, and consume<\/p>\n<p>all the air<\/p>\n<p>around him.<\/p>\n<p>Bored,<\/p>\n<p>uninterested.<\/p>\n<p>He will tell me later,<\/p>\n<p>or the whole way home,<\/p>\n<p>how this,<\/p>\n<p>these moments,<\/p>\n<p>listening to that person,<\/p>\n<p>took away from him,<\/p>\n<p>precious time;<\/p>\n<p>time he will never get back.<\/p>\n<p>I watch his face.<\/p>\n<p>There is so much in him,<\/p>\n<p>to love, to admire,<\/p>\n<p>to respect.<\/p>\n<p>This, is not<\/p>\n<p>one of them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>He smiles, and utters a strange muted sound.
