A Qawwali Concert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A Qawwali Concert<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once I went to a Qawwali Concert<br \/>\nNusrat Fateh Ali Khan and his Gharana<br \/>\nSang Sufi music<br \/>\nThe singers and music became one<br \/>\nThey rocked, they danced, they clapped<br \/>\nNodded their heads in unison<br \/>\nAs they repeated the same refrain again and again.<br \/>\nThey were possessed and mesmerised<br \/>\nThe music reached such dizzy heights<br \/>\nWith drumming and clapping and the tabla drum<br \/>\nWe all became one &#8211; singers and listeners<br \/>\nIn unison &#8211; dancing and swaying in unison<br \/>\nI stood up and danced, an eternal dance<br \/>\nThe music took my soul to directions<br \/>\nI did not know.
