{"id":105543,"date":"2022-06-15T19:03:29","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T23:03:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=105543"},"modified":"2022-06-15T19:06:47","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T23:06:47","slug":"hello-57","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2022\/06\/hello-57\/","title":{"rendered":"Hello!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi everyone!<\/p>\n<p>This is my first time participating and I am excited and really nervous!\u00a0 I usually write in prose but I would love to improve in the area of poetry, and my poetry definitely has room for improvement.\u00a0 I thought this would be a great way to challenge myself and really push myself to practice my craft.\u00a0 Whether I write well, badly, something amazing (doubtful) or just something ok, I still think this is a great way to challenge myself in an area in which I&#8217;m weak.\u00a0 I&#8217;m going to prepare myself by studying up on the different types of poems, reading and re-reading all different types of poetry, writing short poems to practice writing poems, studying up on the variety of literary devices and making sure to eat well and get a good night&#8217;s sleep the two or three nights before the the marathon begins.\u00a0 I am really looking forward to this!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi everyone!
