A popsicle sized piece of plastic told me our lives were changing.<\/p>\n

We were 20 and not even close to thinking we were ready for this<\/p>\n
yet we decided to take that chance.<\/p>\n
Bet on ourselves, our love.<\/p>\n

That decade I spent growing with you<\/p>\n
made me a different person than I ever thought possible.<\/p>\n
Watching something that is part of us
\ntalk, grow, learn, take on some of your mannerisms,<\/p>\n
was beyond my wildest dreams with you.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Except, that was all a dream.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My body rejected that dream.<\/p>\n
Pain rippled through my body as our dream was ripped away.<\/p>\n
My body screamed at us that we were not ready.<\/p>\n
A decade out and I still miss you.<\/p>\n
