maybe the hope you need lies on the other side of life<\/p>\n
maybe the mouth of this river is the door you must enter<\/p>\n

“one, two, three”, you count<\/p>\n
“does a countdown end at two or three?”<\/p>\n
no one is here to tell you<\/p>\n

you close your eyes and let the wind whisper peace<\/p>\n
The sky mirrors your emotions<\/p>\n
it starts with a drizzle<\/p>\n
you walk forward listening to the riverbank’s call<\/p>\n
its soothing voice quiets the other voices<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the water kisses your toe<\/p>\n
is there a better sign?<\/p>\n
it kisses one more time, this time it lingers<\/p>\n
its touch quenches the fire burning in you<\/p>\n
the voices in your head rise to agree with the water<\/p>\n

with arms stretched wide<\/p>\n
eyes closed<\/p>\n
crying with the sky<\/p>\n
feeling all the hurt washed away<\/p>\n
you walk forward<\/p>\n

the river opens its graceful mouth,<\/p>\n
swallowing<\/p>\n
giving you peace<\/p>\n
