{"id":107261,"date":"2022-06-25T09:56:17","date_gmt":"2022-06-25T13:56:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/?p=107261"},"modified":"2022-06-25T10:57:06","modified_gmt":"2022-06-25T14:57:06","slug":"underwater-grounding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2022\/06\/underwater-grounding\/","title":{"rendered":"Underwater Grounding (Hour 1)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I go through each day, these days, I am greeted by<br \/>\nA flurry of emails, todo lists, errands<br \/>\nI try to tackle each task but then<br \/>\nI pause.<\/p>\n<p>I see the water, all around me, clear and blue<br \/>\nWeighing me down by its heaviness<br \/>\nSlowly, it blocks out the outside world<br \/>\nTill it\u2019s just me and the blue and the water<br \/>\nAnd silence.<\/p>\n<p>As I sit there, trying my hardest to breathe<br \/>\nI begin to notice<br \/>\nI see the blue in the water, and how it changes to light<br \/>\nI hear the silent whooshing sounds of the underwater<br \/>\nI feel the water, cooling my arms, face, tongue<br \/>\nI taste it, fresh as a spring<br \/>\nI smell the water smell<br \/>\nI breathe.<\/p>\n<p>The water feels heavy no more<br \/>\nI take a deep breath in, and my legs move on will<br \/>\nAnd to the surface<br \/>\nI rise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As I go through each day, these days, I am greeted by A flurry of emails, todo lists, errands I try to tackle each task but then I pause.
