{"id":107336,"date":"2022-06-25T09:59:45","date_gmt":"2022-06-25T13:59:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/?p=107336"},"modified":"2022-06-25T14:35:39","modified_gmt":"2022-06-25T18:35:39","slug":"water-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2022\/06\/water-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Water  (Hour 1)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Water<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Twirling a thousand miles per hour, I don\u2019t notice.<\/p>\n<p>This dry outpost is almost seventy percent water, I don\u2019t notice.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Submersing in womblike wet warmth<\/p>\n<p>melts my mind<\/p>\n<p>into primal time<\/p>\n<p>when I swam like a fish<\/p>\n<p>before I squirmed<\/p>\n<p>through a canal to gasp<\/p>\n<p>cough and sputter in air.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Oceans surround me with most of our water<\/p>\n<p>which I can\u2019t drink.<\/p>\n<p>Icecaps and glaciers have most of the fresh water<\/p>\n<p>which I can\u2019t get to.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But who needs fact and figures?<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s to be gained from figuring things out?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sink or swim is what it\u2019s all about.<\/p>\n<p>Am I learning to take it to the next level?<\/p>\n<p>Who\u2019s to say this isn\u2019t transition?<\/p>\n<p>I swam before I breathed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Could this life be the womb<\/p>\n<p>that is preparing me to fly?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; Water &nbsp; Twirling a thousand miles per hour, I don\u2019t notice.
