Winter Solstice<\/p>\n

I walk – between the woods and frozen lake<\/p>\n
On the darkest evening of the year.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The snow – compact, slippery.<\/p>\n
My steps cautious.<\/p>\n

I walk between two worlds now.<\/p>\n
The known and . . . the yet<\/p>\n
to be determined.<\/p>\n
The memories and the hopes.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In this year ahead \u2013 may I dance<\/p>\n
with abandon. May I<\/p>\n
swim in ocean waters.<\/p>\n
May I remember, each day,<\/p>\n
to notice the moment<\/p>\n
the ice will thaw and<\/p>\n
