Enamored of the woods long before
\nI came to know, love Robert Frost<\/p>\n
As a boy I knew contemplative pull of
\nwoods ‘lovely, dark and deep\u2019<\/p>\n
I had trod same, worn paths in summer
\nnot until I was well an adult did I discover <\/p>\n
The seductive, enveloping character of
\nwinter woods, watch them fill with snow<\/p>\n
Monochromatic pine-green and white
\nquiet cacophony of flakes fluttering, landing<\/p>\n
Listening to your own breathing, seeing it –
\nwisps of you becoming one with the woods<\/p>\n
Those woods remain in mind lovely, dark –
\ndeep in nooks of memory, lodged in my psyche<\/p>\n
As always, they have their promises to keep
\nAnd miles to go before I sleep,
\nAnd miles to go before I sleep.<\/p>\n
