dragging a half~eaten<\/p>\n

lump of flesh behind me<\/p>\n

fallen from inside me<\/span><\/p>\n

where the love used to live<\/p>\n

i claw through stone<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

handful after handful<\/p>\n

of cold death~dirt<\/p>\n

i cast behind me<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

my only light<\/p>\n

the fading glow<\/p>\n

of my flickering passion<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

my way barred<\/p>\n

i tear fingernails loose<\/p>\n

ripping the hinges off<\/p>\n

releasing a powdery stench<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

bugs crawling<\/p>\n

through my hair<\/p>\n

licking my brain<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

i slide inside<\/p>\n

pulling the cold heavy cover<\/p>\n

of darkness over me<\/p>\n

singing sweetly to myself<\/p>\n

as i lie there<\/p>\n
