Do you think I\u2019m the kind of person<\/p>\n

Who has a plan and makes it happen?<\/p>\n

When weaving a spider\u2019s web, do they think it out?<\/p>\n

Or do they just start walking, while leaking<\/p>\n

A fine gossamer line from end to end of a corner<\/p>\n

Or across two branches.<\/p>\n

They can\u2019t perceive the world like we do<\/p>\n

They\u2019re far too small to see it.<\/p>\n

I doubt they know what branches are<\/p>\n

Overwhelmed by scale.<\/p>\n

I get that I\u2019m not a spider<\/p>\n

And see more than shadows moving<\/p>\n

Through the lights of the world<\/p>\n

But I really wasn\u2019t thinking<\/p>\n

When I climbed this high<\/p>\n

I just felt a bit compelled<\/p>\n

I just wanted to feel the sky.<\/p>\n

See the world far down below<\/p>\n

And feel the breeze run through my skin<\/p>\n

Now I\u2019m stuck above it all<\/p>\n

Spider man they call me<\/p>\n

But I can\u2019t shoot webs<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t even jump a gap<\/p>\n

I just stick to walls.<\/p>\n

Bitten by a gecko<\/p>\n

Who got the spider bite<\/p>\n

A hybrid\u2019s hybrid is what I am<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s really not worth the hype.<\/p>\n

So if you\u2019d please just get me down<\/p>\n

I\u2019d be forever in your debt<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not the kind of person who plans<\/p>\n

And makes it happen<\/p>\n

Just a sticky-fingered nerd who saw a wall and said<\/p>\n
