My tail<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>wags fast and furiously.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>I lick your face, rest<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>my head on your chest, listen<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>to you breathe. You are my person!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><strong>I can&#8217;t help but smile<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><strong>when I walk through the door and<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><strong>find you waiting there.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><strong>You jump in my arms, we plop<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><strong>on the couch. You&#8217;re my best friend!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>****A somanka is a poem composed of two tankas written in two different voices, focused on a central theme of love. A tanka is a five line poem consisting of a syllable count of 5\/7\/5\/7\/7.
