{"id":108585,"date":"2022-06-25T11:59:27","date_gmt":"2022-06-25T15:59:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/?p=108585"},"modified":"2022-06-26T12:58:12","modified_gmt":"2022-06-26T16:58:12","slug":"burning-tree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2022\/06\/burning-tree\/","title":{"rendered":"Burning Tree"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Tree of Life is ablaze tonight.<br \/>\nA hot rage has been ignited<br \/>\nWomen\u2019s rights are being stripped away<br \/>\nby a system so wrong sighted<\/p>\n<p>In the name of God and \u201cunborn children,\u201d<br \/>\nthey are stripping women of their choices.<br \/>\nbut this is clearly a hostile power grab<br \/>\nto try and silence women\u2019s voices.<\/p>\n<p>And we will not go silently,<br \/>\nnor accept this as our fate.<br \/>\nWe won\u2019t be reduced to chattel<br \/>\nnor be consumed by hate.<\/p>\n<p>We will awaken our inner warriors<br \/>\nto combat the powers that be.<br \/>\nAs the birthplace of all people,<br \/>\nwe must fight to keep wombs free.<\/p>\n<p>We must fight with all our power<br \/>\nthat we can burn down this tree.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Tree of Life is ablaze tonight.
