Keeping time requires that the listener\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

overcome the awareness of his own body\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

in order to sync with the\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

vibrations of the whole.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is painful to fight the waves of music<\/span><\/p>\n

that require absorption.<\/span><\/p>\n

Surrender.<\/span><\/p>\n

There comes a point when you stop mouthing the counts.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Begin with a skip<\/span><\/p>\n

and a trot\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

and a gallup<\/span><\/p>\n

and a turn<\/span><\/p>\n

and a spin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throw your shoulders back,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

catch the air with your lungs–<\/span><\/p>\n
