We have fought many applaudable battles,<\/p>\n

But our biggest one will forever be against time itself.<\/p>\n

In a world where people grow older,<\/p>\n

Than what we now see as fortunate,<\/p>\n

With more time on our hands,<\/p>\n

We spend lesser time on the what-s and more on the whys.<\/p>\n

More time on the intricacies of life,<\/p>\n

On the meaning of who we are,<\/p>\n

What we’re made of in our minds and souls,<\/p>\n

Not just voluminous blood and brittle bone.<\/p>\n

As we race against clocks we can’t see,<\/p>\n

We’ll learn to live a little more in the moment,<\/p>\n

Focus lesser on the rights and lefts<\/p>\n

And a lot more on the rights and wrongs.<\/p>\n

A picture painted by our ancients a century ago,<\/p>\n

Rivalled the tapestry that we have woven for ourselves now.<\/p>\n

In a world where people grow older,
\nThan what we then saw as fortunate,
\nWith more time on our hands,<\/p>\n

We have more questions and lesser answers.
\nMore time on the intricacies of life,<\/p>\n

What we mean to the world and how much we can claim,
\nWhat we’re made of in our minds and souls,<\/p>\n

Battles as each sees two different sides of a coin.
\nAs we race against clocks we can’t see,<\/p>\n

We force to go just a little bit faster,<\/p>\n

Focus lesser on rights and more on coin,<\/p>\n

Lest we miss something; we lose our minds\u2026<\/p>\n
