ANOTHER SEA OF CLOUDS (REFRACTED)<\/b><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
we\u2019re peering into the windows of tomorrow<\/p>\n
shadowed by sunflowers and tangled in vines<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
we\u2019re walking on and over our own heartbeats<\/p>\n
buried deep under the shimmering city pavement<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
we toss a blanket down with our submarine sandwiches<\/p>\n
cream soda and cheddar cheese, laughter and memories<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
someday when I write like a writer these scenes will live forever<\/p>\n
one hardback after another piling in a pyramid of aliveness<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
a monument to the moments that made me<\/p>\n
knitting pages of conversation together under a shady oak<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
we can call it the space between the way I hold a wine glass<\/p>\n
and what it actually takes to be a cougar in this world<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
we\u2019ll call that window a mirror if it can nail our image down<\/p>\n
