We can manage the cost and inconvenience<\/p>\n
to have another workshop<\/p>\n
with saws, drills, wrenches, clamps, etc<\/p>\n
and a space to park and protect the car and riding mower.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The cement floor will be Plain Jane pavement,<\/p>\n
Hooks will keep tools within easy reach,<\/p>\n
a drawer will hold the screws, nails, drill bits and such.<\/p>\n
No need for fancy oak or cherry wood.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At the cost of clearing the rock garden with its sunflowers<\/p>\n
and poke berry bushes — beautiful wild nature —<\/p>\n
we will be practical, cars will not be at the mercy<\/p>\n
of Ohio winter storms. wearing out batteries.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A collection of manuals,\u00a0mostly soft cover, some Oxford Dictionary- sized.<\/p>\n
The Chilton’s Manuals, now as rare as hardback books on carpentry,<\/p>\n
stored on a shelf, away from the sawdust.<\/p>\n
No sense knitting pretty things, where practicality rules.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Next week it will be completed, and it will be<\/p>\n
celebrated with cheddar cheese and real wine glasses —<\/p>\n
much fancier than the satchel of crackers and juice drinks<\/p>\n
that I offered as Irish hospitality.<\/p>\n
