A warm breezy summer day, but we\u2019re stuck inside
\nFinishing up something or the other at work
\nSitting in our home office, getting antsier by the hour
\nAt 3pm we exchange a glance
\nShould we? Should we not?
\nI nibble on my nail, he says don\u2019t
\nWe know it\u2019s time to move
\nWork can wait, this can\u2019t<\/p>\n
We begin to pack a satchel, with nervous anticipation
\nWine, wine glass, cheddar cheese, Takis
\nA hardback book for him
\nKnitting tools for me
\nA blanket and some cushions
\nAnd we\u2019re ready to move<\/p>\n
A warm breezy summer day, we\u2019re now outside
\nThe car roof down, hair flying in the breeze
\nPink Floyd and The Moody Blues playing in the background
\nSuburbs turning into mountains, woods, water bodies
\nIn just an hour, we are transported elsewhere<\/p>\n
We hit the cliffs and see the beach below
\nOur twentieth time visiting it, but it never fails to surprise
\nAs we descend, we feel grateful
