I am stoked.<\/p>\n
I am a furnace fresh<\/p>\n
with wooden fuel.<\/p>\n
I am moving to my own tune,<\/p>\n
dancing with phantoms,<\/p>\n
and loving life.<\/p>\n
This is temporary, and the result<\/p>\n
of a liberal glass of red,<\/p>\n
luscious wine.<\/p>\n
When we find that house, I will<\/p>\n
plant grapes.<\/p>\n
I will plant tubers<\/p>\n
of potatoes, and asparagus.<\/p>\n
I will have huge<\/p>\n
rhubarb, and my kale<\/p>\n
will win awards.<\/p>\n
The red wine is a ruby jewel<\/p>\n
reflecting light<\/p>\n
through its portly waves,<\/p>\n
and I wish for a moment I was<\/p>\n
light enough<\/p>\n
to wear a red velvet<\/p>\n
gown.<\/p>\n
Wine does this to me,<\/p>\n
makes me wish<\/p>\n
and wishing makes me<\/p>\n
happy.<\/p>\n
I move from here to there,<\/p>\n
and am hopeful that the movers<\/p>\n
will come<\/p>\n
next week.<\/p>\n
Of course, they won’t.<\/p>\n
I raise my glass<\/p>\n
to empty rooms.<\/p>\n
To you, to this house,<\/p>\n
to these walls that have sheltered me,<\/p>\n
it is not your fault<\/p>\n
that you are losing nails.<\/p>\n
It won’t be long before<\/p>\n
this structure crumbles,<\/p>\n
and I weep<\/p>\n
for the waste<\/p>\n
