I&#8217;m still<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">your little girl.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I may<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">be<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">older<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">now, but<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">you know I&#8217;ll<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">always need you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">You&#8217;ve always<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">known<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">the<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">answer, no<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">matter the question.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Everything is changing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">I see<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">the<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">question<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">in your<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">eyes and pray<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">that God gives<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">me the<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">right<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">answer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Even when<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">you cannot remember<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">me, you are<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">still my<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">father.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>****A hay(na)ku is a three line poem where the first line consists of one word, the second line has two, and the third line is composed of three words. A reverse hay(na)ku is three lines composed in the opposite fashion, of three words, then two, and one word for the final line. In the 2019 Poetry Marathon, I created the &#8220;Mirror hay(na)ku&#8221; by combining a hay(na)ku with a reverse hay(na)ku.
