Dear Oliver, how long has it been?<\/p>\n
Sixty plus years have grown between us.<\/p>\n
We were seven or was it eight years old<\/p>\n
but we were madly in love\u2014remember?<\/p>\n
I would wear my hair over the shoulders<\/p>\n
long and straight, just the way you liked it.<\/p>\n
I changed desks just so I could sit next to you.<\/p>\n
Our lunches were a heavenly half-hour when we<\/p>\n
would discuss our wedding plans.<\/p>\n
You were always such a terrible speller-I<\/p>\n
always had to help you\u2014remember?<\/p>\n
My penmanship was so neat and precise and yours<\/p>\n
so sloppy, the teacher would make you rewrite<\/p>\n
all of your assignments. I would giggle.<\/p>\n
When you would ride bicycle past my house I would<\/p>\n
always come look for you. I knew you would ride by<\/p>\n
my by my house on purpose. I was looking forward to going<\/p>\n
