{"id":11113,"date":"2015-06-13T20:13:16","date_gmt":"2015-06-14T00:13:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=11113"},"modified":"2015-06-13T20:13:16","modified_gmt":"2015-06-14T00:13:16","slug":"when-souls-collide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2015\/06\/when-souls-collide\/","title":{"rendered":"When Souls Collide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>awakened from a deep slumber, my mind still drifting<br \/>\ncaught myself in what could be a distant revelry<br \/>\nspinning around in a vast ocean of swirling neon hues<br \/>\nfeeling as though I was being sucked up<br \/>\nto a strange world living inside these pastel dreams.<\/p>\n<p>I let the gentle current take control of me<br \/>\nbrought me to a place far from reality<br \/>\nand when time stopped, asked myself<br \/>\n &#8220;Can this be the real me?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A heavenly sanctuary I was led,<br \/>\nblinding colors with sharp glares greeted me<br \/>\na calming presence took hold of me as I walked in<br \/>\nas I slowly came to recognize the souls floating up the air.<\/p>\n<p>They were clothed in immaculate white gowns<br \/>\nwith shining faces, no trace of sadness from within<br \/>\nin this place you remain young at heart<br \/>\nknowing no adversities just plain old simple happiness!<\/p>\n<p>Suddenly the space surrounding me darkened<br \/>\nand with a flash of beaming light,<br \/>\nfound myself collide with the other souls<br \/>\nseems that I was taken back to the different phases of my existence.<\/p>\n<p>Author\/Poet Elizabeth E.
