Everyday, there’s a baby I meet online.<\/p>\n
He’s nearly a year old and has yet to learn to walk.\u00a0 His mother’s worried.<\/p>\n
She fears there’s something wrong with his legs.\u00a0 I think he’s too heavy<\/p>\n
but, of course, I won’t tell her that.\u00a0 He isn’t fat, he just can’t find his<\/p>\n
balance.\u00a0 Not yet.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
When he finally walks, our daily meetings will end.<\/p>\n
He’ll walk out of the pictures.\u00a0 He’ll bury himself in the sand pile.\u00a0 He’ll<\/p>\n
disappear behind a book.\u00a0 His mother and I will spend a few moments<\/p>\n
sipping our digital tea, looking out for him, checking that he hasn’t hit<\/p>\n
his head somewhere.\u00a0 Not yet.<\/p>\n
