there are times that I want so bad
\nto tell my story to someone
\nANYONE that would listen
\nabout everything that has happened
\nto me<\/p>\n
–This again? <\/p>\n
I have tried so many times
\nin the past-
\nbut no one listened
\nwhy would they?<\/p>\n
–I don’t have time for this<\/p>\n
they are comfortable in
\ntheir ignorance
\ntheir perfect little world
\nwhere nothing bad ever
\nhappens and no one ever dies
\nor gets hurt in any way<\/p>\n
That’s not the real world
\nthat’s fantasy
\nI know- I’ve been there<\/p>\n
–Have you now?<\/p>\n
I’ve been in the world where
\nno one hurt me-
\neveryone went on living
\neven though people were sick
\nit’s a child like world<\/p>\n
–You don’t know the meaning of it<\/p>\n
I’ve been hurt
\nI’ve been touched by death
\nI’ve had to bury people that I
\ndidn’t think I could survive
\nwithout.<\/p>\n
–You aren’t special.<\/p>\n
I’ve had to relearn things
\nI’ve had to struggle to get to
\nwhere I am right now
\nI’ve had to hurt
\ncry
\nlaugh<\/p>\n
I was a grownup before I
\nshould have been
\nI’ve had to pay attention to
\nthings that I shouldn’t have
\nhad until I was married
\nor that I’ve had no business
\nto know<\/p>\n
–we all have.<\/p>\n
You don’t know my story
\nor my struggle
\nyou haven’t had to go through
\nMY LIFE
