I found a world inside a shell,
\nI peeked in for a fleeting spell;
\nA tiny church for plankton bones
\nAnd grains of sand for standing stones,
\nHairline hedges tufted round
\nAlgae lush upon a mound
\nWhere, almost too small to be seen,
\nCattle grazed upon the green.
\nThere beneath a pearly glow
\nRagged rainbows dancing go, –
\nLittle folks with spiny horns
\nIn hues of sunset, leaf and corn,
\nFancy hats atop their heads
\nAnd siren bells upon their legs.<\/p>\n
I closed the shell. I hope that they
