To tear down progress of a people oppressed

The harms cannot be measured once;
\nit’s the kind of hurt that grows.

We are left wondering what we know.
\nWe are left wondering if we can endure<\/p>\n
or if it’s worth it to even try.
\nWhen the powers that be can exert their might<\/p>\n
and strip away our rights
\nto tear down progress of a people oppressed.<\/p>\n

\nCan we trust anything?<\/p>\n
That the sun will still rise?
\nThat the moon pulls the tides?
\nThat it’s worth one more fight?<\/p>\n
