It goes couplet (two lines), tercet (three lines), couplet, couplet, couplet, tercet, couplet.<\/p>\n<p>The first line is also the eleventh line, line six is repeated as line 12 as well.<\/p>\n<p>Optionally the closing couplet should put a twist on the poem, but that isn\u2019t a requirement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>The Introvert<\/u><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I want to stand next to you<\/p>\n<p>and not feel any less.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I want to be in a room full of bright souls<\/p>\n<p>and feel sleek. I long to belong<\/p>\n<p>not be an unwelcome mess.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I want to be on the same page<\/p>\n<p>and not have to pretend<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>or bend and blend,<\/p>\n<p>struggle to befriend.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I want to stop looking in.<\/p>\n<p>I want to stand next to you<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>and be on the same page,<\/p>\n<p>perform on the same stage,<\/p>\n<p>alive in the same cage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But. I\u2019m free, you know?<\/p>\n<p>Just. Always outside.
