They list suicide analytically<\/p>\n
Brain chemicals<\/p>\n
Neurotransmitters<\/p>\n
Depression.<\/p>\n
But they fail to mention<\/p>\n
The devastation<\/p>\n
The brutal pain left<\/p>\n
For the survivors to face<\/p>\n
The questions no textbook can answer<\/p>\n
Why, what were they thinking?<\/p>\n
What was missing in their heart?<\/p>\n
Or worse why was their heart so heavy?<\/p>\n
Left notes don’t tell the whole story<\/p>\n
Neither does the broken heart stories<\/p>\n
Others share, but answers evade<\/p>\n
Suicide is like walking in dark woods<\/p>\n
At night<\/p>\n
Fighting for a flicker of light<\/p>\n
To guide us back.<\/p>\n
A light that isn’t there,<\/p>\n
that can’t be seen.<\/p>\n
Adrift in guilt<\/p>\n
In shame<\/p>\n
In loss that never heals.<\/p>\n
Always wondering, always broken<\/p>\n
