And one submerged<\/p>\n
Below the route that all maps urged,<\/p>\n
Where most would naturally\u00a0go –<\/p>\n
The\u00a0overground pathway<\/p>\n
Trampled underfoot toe by toe<\/p>\n
By those who would not stray<\/p>\n
And make their own way,<\/p>\n
But down below<\/p>\n
I chose to go<\/p>\n
Where demon sprites<\/p>\n
And hell-fire bright<\/p>\n
Warned off the bravest souls.<\/p>\n
I was sure I wouldn’t return<\/p>\n
I was sure the way back would burn,<\/p>\n
But what do you suppose I learned?<\/p>\n
Oh, you’ll never know,<\/p>\n
Along this path you’ll never go,<\/p>\n
But believe me when I tell you this –<\/p>\n
There are things you should not miss<\/p>\n
Down there in that abyss.<\/p>\n
